You can create custom navigation menus within your content library to help users easily access channels, categories, external websites, and other important pages.
Accessing Menu Settings
- Log in to the Admin Portal.
- Navigate to Appearance > Customize.
- Select the Menus tab.
- Click Add Navigation Link.
Menu Configuration Options
Link Name
Enter the text that will appear in the website navigation menu.
Example:
- Home
- Webinars
- Resources
- Contact Us
Method
Select how the menu item should behave.
Link
Create a navigation item that links to any URL or website.
Examples:
Channel
Link directly to a channel page within your Webcastcloud content library.
Category
Link directly to a category page within your Webcastcloud content library.
Link Target
Choose how the link opens when selected.
_self
Opens the link in the current browser tab.
_blank
Opens the link in a new browser tab.
Authentication Required
When enabled, the navigation item will only be displayed to users who are logged in.
Common use cases:
- Member-only content
- Purchased content areas
- Private playlists
- Exclusive resource pages
If this option is disabled, the navigation item will be visible to all visitors.
Adding Child Navigation Items
Child navigation items create dropdown menus beneath a main menu item.
For Channels and Categories
When Channel or Category is selected as the Method, you can click Add Children to include:
- Child Channels
- Subcategories
These items will appear in a dropdown menu beneath the parent navigation item.
For Links
When Link is selected as the Method, you can use Add Children to create additional navigation links that point to any external or internal URL.

Saving Your Changes
Once you have configured your navigation item:
- Complete the required fields.
- Add any child navigation items if required.
- Save your changes.
- Refresh your website to view the updated navigation menu.
