  • Quizzing at the end of a live stream:  Create a quiz with Continuing Education Credits, and allow live viewers to take the quiz at the end of a live stream.  CE Points will be calculated upon quiz completion.  Use the same quiz for on-demand playback.

New:

  • Create Content Types and assign them to videos.  Content Types to be used with iMIS Activity post-back integration.
  • Quizzing to support a text answer, where the viewer needs to type the exact characters to match the answer and gain CE Credits.  This works well for CE Credits where a Call-To-Action is created within the video player with a code word, and the viewer must enter the correct code in the quiz at the end of the video to gain the CE Credits.  
  • Customize Local Login button text.

Improvement:

  • Trigger Video Analytics to run on quiz completion, to display credits to members instantly within User Profile or with CE integrations where credits are sent back to AMS/LMS

Bugs:

  • Video Player Call-To-Action: if CTA has no link, message still shows hyperlink that open in null new blank page 
  • Categories and Channel cards appear stretched when zooming in and out

  • Webcastcloud LIVE - Cloud Recording:
    When Live Streaming via webcastcloud LIVE, record your live video from the cloud.
    Cloud Recording supports both Primary and Secondary Live Video - when live streaming with two video frames. Define site wide rules to turn on/off cloud recording by default, and update cloud recording settings on individual live streams. 

  • Webcastcloud LIVE - Automate OnDemand:
    If cloud recording is used for a live stream, select the option to make the video available automatically for on-demand playback.

  • Video Player Secondary Media selection - When a secondary media is uploaded to for on-demand video, the output options available are Video or Slides/Images.  An Admin user can select to display Images/Slides or the Video Stream for the secondary media playback to viewers.  Slides selection will display automatically generated thumbnail images that are captured throughout the video. This is ideal for presentation content such as a PowerPoint.

  • Personify
    • Non-Inventory Products Integration 
      In additional to digital subscriptions, webcastcloud's Personify Integration now supports non-inventory products (one-off purchased products that have no shipping details). Products can then be mapped to video or channel access across the video library.   
    • Member Types – Personify SSO integration has the option to support storing and updating Member Types for each personify constituent. Member Types can then be mapped to provide access across the video library, as well as define member pricing across videos, channels, courses and events that are sold within webcastcloud.

  • Video Subscriptions (SVOD)
    • Allow Members to Manage Subscription products via their user profile (Stripe integration required)

Bugs

  • Resolved issue in Payflow Gateway with two concurrent transactions ie. a failed transaction immediately followed by a successful transaction.
    This sometimes caused the incorrect session variable value to be used, as a session variable is shared by the both concurrent transactions.
    This resulted in the completed order still appearing as open/failed.
    Changed method to directly access the transaction response and update the order.
  • Resolved issue in Payflow gateway on mobile checkout, where payment was displaying in webcastcloud as completed, but was not updating to completed order.

    By creating a video sequence, you can allow your videos within a channel to play within a preferred order. Once a video has been completed, the Next Video button will appear at the end of the video. Video Sequence is supported for both Live and On-Demand videos.

    Bring some additional WOW to your next live virtual or hybrid event with Stage Mode. Stage Mode is a Video Player Template that can be set on a single video, and uses the video player background to provide a ‘stage-like’ experience and more opportunity for sponsor, product or advertising placement.mceclip0.png
  • Site Wide Video Player Style Settings
    Update your Video Player look-and-feel across your video library from the site wide player settings. Set your corporate colors using Video Mode and all your videos will be updated to better represent your brand. Video Mode allows you to set a background image or background color, as well as update all colors on the media controls.

  • Update Player Appearance for a Single Video
    Individually update your video player settings from the site wide video player template. The video can be updated to another video player template (ie, stage mode or video mode) and the player colors and background image can be updated on the individual video.

  • Display Video Milestones for Member Video Analytics
    As a member passes through specific viewing milestones during on-demand playback, the checkpoints 25%, 50%, 75%, 90% and 100% are stored for the member's viewing analytics.

  • Google Tag Manager Integration
    Google Tag Manager can now be integrated with your video library. Tag manager allows you to capture event data based on event triggers, the data is sent to GTM and displayed in Google Analytics with your member’s Customer ID and/or User ID. Google Tag Manager allows you to collect more user data, track their user journey and capture events such as page impressions, search & filters on Channels, Categories, Tags & Speakers.

  • PayPal PayFlow – Sales Order Refunds
    For all new purchases that are processed using PayPal PayFlow payment gateway, refunds if required can now be processed in webcastcloud Admin.  A refund has the option to remove or retain access to the video content purchased. Refunds can be process under Analytics >Sales Orders

  • Speakers and Speaker Role
    Speakers are the latest way to tag one or more speakers to your video.  A Speaker Search Filter can be added to your video library so your members can filter results specifically via Speaker Name.  All Speakers will have a member profile, although if they only have the Speaker role they will not have access to login to your video library as a member. 
    An existing member can be assigned the Speaker role to be added as a Speaker to a video.
    Speakers will replace Presenters. All presenter data will be migrated to Speakers table.

  • Private Videos
    A video can now be set to Private, rather than relying on the Private status of the channel. A private channel will only be accessible to view from approved members via a Video Access List or a Channel. A video can now have any status (standby, live, on-demand, etc) as well as being Private.

  • Offline Video
    A video status can now be updated to Offline. The video will not be available to view anywhere on the video library.

Improvements

  • Display Live Polls and Results on the Live Event Console page
    Simplified access to create polls during your live event, and allowing moderators and live stream facilitators to easily access all interactivity features from the one interface.
  • Quiz Questions – the default quiz point will be 1 rather than 0.

Under Continuing Education Settings, an Admin can now select a template for Duration Watched. This is an extension of the Continuing Education Points module that currently supports quizzing. 

The template can be set to the Video that has the Points value assigned.  This will assign Education Points to a member based on the percentage they have covered for the video. For example, if 1 CE Point is assigned to a video that is 60 minutes in duration, a member must watch a minimum of 95% of the 60 minutes to gain their 1 CE Point. 

  • Hide Events Channel from Video Library

Ideal for pre and during your virtual or hybrid events, to hide your event channel from your main video library.  Your viewers will require a direct link to the event channel or use the event registration/login to access to online conference.  Post-event you may want to make the content searchable from your main video library. At this time you can turn this flag off to make your on-demand conference available from your main video catalog.
