What is a Call-To-Action
- A Call to Action (CTA) is a pop-up message that is displayed within a video. One or more CTAs can be added to an on-demand video at a specified time. The pop-up can display a text message with a hyperlink. The viewer can click on the link or choose to skip past the CTA and continue watching the video.
- A CTA is ideal for Event Messages, Post-Event Surveys to appear at the end of a video, Sponsor messages, to make sure that a user is still engaged with the video to provide more reliable analytics.
Create a Video Call-To-Action
- Browse to >Videos >Manage
- Find the video from the list, select Edit
- Select Interactivity tab
- Enable the CTA checkbox to enable your CTA on the video player
- Select Add Call-To-Action
- Select Add
- Fill in the following details for your CTA message:
- Action Type: Text
- Action Time: the time when the CTA will appear during your video (in seconds)
- Display Text: The message that will appear on your CTA pop-up
- Link: The URL if the user clicks on the CTA message
- Button Text: the text to appear for the user to Skip the CTA or Resume the video
- Click Add
The Video CTA will now display at the CTA time:

Call-To-Actions can be used for a variety of different applications. Some popular ways a CTA is used on a video include:
- Promoting an upcoming event or an on-demand release
- Linking to third-party polling solutions for feedback or for knowledge-based tests
- During a Sponsors Video as a way to take an additional step to engage with the sponsor or product
- Used with free video content as a sales tool across your video library
- Displayed at the end of your video as a promotional message for upcoming content
- To promote an upcoming event that the user may need to purchase or register for.
