A resource is a valuable asset you can share, secure, and monetize within your content library. Resources can include whitepapers, articles, and other documents, with PDF files being supported. Follow these steps to upload a resource to your platform.
Pre-requisites:
Prior to uploading resources to your library, we recommend creating and uploading a default card cover image for your resources. For guidance on uploading a Resource cover image, see this article.
Steps:
1. Log In to the Admin Portal
- Navigate to your platform’s Admin area and log in with your credentials.
2. Access the Content Library
- From the main menu, select Library > Content.
3. Add a New Resource
- Click on Add New.
- From the Add New modal, select Resource.
4. Fill in Basic Details
- Title: Enter a title for your resource.
- Channel: Select the channel where you want the resource to be stored.
5. Upload the Resource
- Under the Upload Resource section:
- Click on the dropbox to open your computer’s file browser.
- Select the PDF file you wish to upload.
6. Finalize the Upload
- Click Add to upload the resource.
7. Add Metadata (Optional)
Once the upload is complete, you’ll be directed to the Content Details page. Here, you can enhance your resource by adding metadata, including:
- Description: Provide a brief overview of the resource.
- Content Type: Specify the type of resource (e.g., article, whitepaper, resource).
- Category: Assign a category for better organization.
-
Tags: Add relevant tags for improved searchability.
8. Modify the Resource Cover Image (Optional)
- Select Upload on the Cover Thumbnail Image, to replace the default cover image for your Resource.
- Images should be 16:9 aspect ratio. See this article for recommended image sizes, consistent with the default thumbnail image.
9. Modify Access Settings (Optional)
You can customize the access settings for your resource if needed:
- Free: Available to all users without restrictions.
- Paid: Requires purchase or subscription.
- Locked: Restricted to certain users or based on channel permissions.
These settings can overwrite the default channel settings, giving you greater control over access.
For detailed guidance on configuring these settings, see this article.
