Create a Voucher

A Voucher entitles a specified group of members with a certain monetary value to be used to spend on your video library. 
A voucher is created with a specific amount, and applied to a Member List. 
A voucher can then be used by those members towards one or more purchases, until the total amount has been used by that member.  

 

Steps: Create a Voucher

1. Navigate to Monetization >Vouchers
2. Click Add New
3. Enter a Name for your voucher.  This will not appear to your members
4. Enter a Code to be used at time of checkout by members
5. Set the Amount for the total value of the voucher
6. Assign a Member List to the Voucher
7. Add
   
   Your voucher code is now ready to share with your Members.

 

Using a Voucher

A Member who has been assigned to the voucher, can use the code on the checkout page. 
Vouchers are supported across all payment gateway providers.

1. Enter the Code >Submit
2. If the voucher is valid and they are on the assigned Member List, the Total price will be discounted by the voucher amount.
3. Any balance for the member on that voucher will be stored for future use. 
   
   

 

View Voucher Usage

1. In Admin, navigate to e-Commerce > Vouchers
2. Click on View Voucher Usage
3. From the drop-down menu, select the Voucher
4. The table will how the usage history for the voucher selected
5. The voucher code will also display as a reference on Sales Orders

 

Examples of Voucher Usage

• If a voucher is valued at $100 and the video is $50, when the voucher is submitted on the cart page, the total will be updated to $0.  The user can select Checkout to buy the video without needing to enter any credit card details.  The member will have $50 remaining on the voucher to use at another time. 
1. If the Cart Total is updated to $0, then the user can select Checkout the buy the video. without entering their credit card details.
• If the Video is $120 and the voucher is worth $100, the member will pay the balance of $20.  The voucher is considered used for that member and they will not be able to  and will come to $20 and you will have no voucher left.
• A Member can use the voucher multiple times until the total monetary value has been used.
