CE Activity Templates define how a user earns Continuing Education (CE) credits when completing a video or webinar.
Templates allow credits to be awarded based on either:
Quiz completion
Percentage of video watched
These templates are then assigned to videos to determine when credits should be awarded and written back to external systems such as iMIS, Salesforce / Nimble AMS, MembesAMS, NoviAMS, Wicket, and many more integrations.
Overview
- Completion of a Quiz that meets or exceeds the minimum pass rate
- Duration Watched on a video that meet the minimum percentage watched
Create an Education Points Template
- In Admin browse to Settings > Education
- Scroll down to >CE Templates > Add

Set a Title with a friendly name that explains the template
Examples: {Credit Type} Template - {Requirements}
CPD Template – 90% WatchedCAE Template – Quiz Pass 90%
CME Template – Quiz Pass 100%
- Select the Credit Type the user will gain for these credits. ie, CPD, CME, Ethics.
Note - There can all be setup on the education settings page. - Under Assessment Type select Quiz or Duration Watched

For Quiz, select a Pass Rate. This is the minimum percentage the user will need to meet or exceed to pass the quiz.
- Allow Retake Quiz: Allow a user to retake the quiz if they do not pass. Set the number of attempts/retakes the user can have on the quiz, or leave blank to specify 'unlimited' retakes.
- For Duration Watched, select the minimum percentage user should watch to gain the credits.

Credit Value if Fail (%): This setting allows users to receive partial credits even if they do not pass the assessment.
Example:Video offers 1 CPD credit
User fails the quiz but Credit Value if Fail = 50%
User receives:
0.5 CPDThis option can be useful where participation credit is allowed even if the assessment is not fully passed.

Certificate on Completion: Toggle Certificate on Completion to True if users should receive a completion certificate when they meet the activity requirements.
Select the Certificate Template to use from the drop-down menu, or follow these steps to Setup your Certificate.
Certificates will be generated automatically once the user completes the activity successfully.

You can now select your Credit Template when assigning Credits to your your Video or Webinar.
