Education Points can be obtained through either completion of a Quiz or through Video activity.
Overview
This article will show you how to setup a Template for Education Points.
Education Points can be achieved either by:
- Completion of a Quiz that meets or exceeds the minimum pass rate
- Duration Watched on a video that meet the minimum percentage watched
Create an Education Points Template with a Quiz
- In Admin browse to Settings > Education Points >Add
- Set a Title with a friendly name that explains the template
- Under Assessment Type select Quiz
- Select a Pass Rate. This is the minimum percentage the user will need to meet or exceed to pass the quiz.
- Allow Retake Quiz: Allow a user to retake the quiz if they do not pass. This allows the user to retake the quiz as many times as possible until they pass.
- Save
You can now select this Quiz template when assigning Points to your your Video.
Create an Education Points Template with Duration Watched
- In Admin browse to Settings > Education Points >Add
- Set a Title with a friendly name that explains the template
- Under Assessment Type select Duration Watched
- Select a Minimum Percentage Watched. This is the minimum percentage the user will need to watch of the total video duration to meet the requirements to be allocated the Video Education Points.
- Save
You can now select this Duration Watched template when assigning Points to your your Video.
Selecting a Template on your Video
- Browse to Videos >Manage Videos
- Find the video from the list and select Edit Video
- Points: Set the value of the Continuing Education (CE) Points for this Video. This is how many CE Points the member will receive if they meet the requirements that were set in the Education Points Template.
- Points Allocation: Select the Education Points Template for this video.
View CE Points as an Admin
- Admins can view CE Points earned under a Members Profiles in Admin >Users >Members >Select Member.
- Completed Quizzes will also display points achieved by Members. Admin >Analytics >Polls >Completed Quizzes
View CE Points as a Member
- Members can view CE Points they have achieved from User Profile >Video Activity when logged into the video library.
- Members can print an activity statement from their User Profile page if required to demonstrate knowledge to a 3rd party accreditation authority.
- User Profiles must be turned on in Admin >Layout >Video Library >Settings >User Profiles
Examples
Quiz Example: Here we have set the template where the member must take a quiz and achieve 100% on the quiz in order to gain 1 CE Point.
Watched Duration Example: If you are using Watched Duration, first set the points relevant to your video duration. ie. This video is 1 hour in duration. We allocate 1 CE Point for 1 hour of video watched.
If the member watches a minimum of 95% of the total video duration 1h05mins, they will be assigned the 1 CE Point.
