In this article, we will walk though how to access questions submitted by viewers from within Live Event Console page.
We will assume you have already Scheduled a Live Stream in webcastcloud.
Once your Live Stream is setup, you can continue with the steps below:
Turn on Q&A on a Live Stream
Q&A needs to be activated prior to the stream going live.
- In webcastcloud Admin, browse to Videos >Manage Videos
- Select the livestream from the video list
- Select Edit
- Click Interactivity tab
- Select the checkbox Questions
- Save
Your video player will now display the Questions icon on the video player. Once your live stream has started, viewers can submit their questions from the Q&A pop-up.
View Submitted Questions as a Moderator:
Questions submitted from a viewer during your live stream are available from the Live Event Console page.
- In webcastcloud Admin, browse to Videos >Manage Videos
- Select the livestream from the video list
- Select Edit
- Select Media Info
- Select Live Event
- Select Q&A
Questions that are submitted from your online viewers will be available here.
View Questions Post-Event
If you are no longer running your live stream, you can access questions simply from the Video Interactivity tab, rather than the Live Event Console.
- In webcastcloud Admin, browse to Videos >Manage Videos
- Select the livestream from the video list
- Select Edit
- Select Interactivity
- Select View Q&A or Moderator
Considerations
- We recommend that you prompt your online audience that the Questions icon is available on the bottom of the video player to ask a questions during your live stream.
- If you prompt your viewers at the start of the stream, and a few times during the stream, you will likely have a few questions ready for the end of your presentation when it comes to question time.
- Please consider that your live viewers are on a delayed feed of around 30-45 seconds, so if you only ask them at the end of the stream to submit their questions, ensure you provide them enough time to respond.
- We recommend having two or three questions ready before the event to allow time for your viewers to type in their questions for each Q&A session contained within your live stream.
